There are mountains to climb, you can go diving, or just spend your time site-seeing. Mount Knabalu is the tallest mountain in southeast Asia, and the region has some of the world's best diving locations. There is a great deal of variety with the pricing, depending on your specific interests and preferences, but there is generally something available for every budget. You can stay at the traditional large hotel, or enjoy yourself at the more exclusive resorts, if you prefer. There are a lot of attractions to see, but be sure to budget some time just relaxing and taking in the natural beauty that will surround you. If you plan in advance, you may be able to attend one of the many local festivals that take place. Animal lovers may be especially interested in visiting the Orangutan sanctuary.
